Wow...

So, for those of that didn't know, my TV broke down. I will probably never purchase a Vizio again, mainly due to their poor customer service. I contacted Tech Support about a problem with the screen (green pixels were showing up after 20 mins in random spots, growing increasingly more annoying and noticeable). They wanted me to fax them some stuff, so I used the fax down at the Fire House and got the receipt. Email them a week later for a status update, and they say they never got it. So I asked if I could just email it to them, as it was purchased online. They told me to email it to this one email address. Waited a week, no response or update. I emailed it to the head of tech support, or at least the guy who was speaking on behalf of them and still no update. So I went to Walmart and bought a more reputable brand of TV, same size, same/better picture quality, for about 60$ less. :)

Also, my iPod crapped out on me. One morning, I came home from work and it wouldn't turn on. I didn't use it at all, but it might've turned on during the night from a bump, so I connected it to charge. Computer wouldn't see it. After some ... brutish methods, I got it to charge finally. By brutish, I mean maneuvering the connector around to hit the proper contact. Still wouldn't see it. I got the idea to go to the Apple Store, as an internet search didn't turn up anything useful. I reinstalled iTunes, tried resetting the iPod, nothing worked. I got to the Apple Store and saw that the wait for the "Genius Bar" was until the next day at 4:30. I said, "Fuck that." I gathered up my shit, went to Gamestop and looked around. After venting a bit, I walked back to the Apple Store and stood around waiting for one of the service people to ask me if I needed any help, but they were too busy standing around and talking about how much better Macs are than PCs (Windows PCs, though, not including Unix based PCs). Tried to get their attention, but to no avail.

So, I went to Target, as my buddy can get a discount because he works there. Yes, I was going to purchase a Zune. GASP! Sichae, you well-kept fox, how can you buy a Zune, they are teh ghey. I had that same belief, but since I already use Zune software to stream music and video to my 360, I thought it a natural fit and I was about done with iTunes + Quicktime being installed all the time, instead of just iTunes. Horse hockey. I bought a brown 30gb. The casing had a bit of a green tinge to it, which was cool. I plugged it in... and the charge icon came on... and stayed on... even after I disconnected it... and up to 10 hours later when I returned it. I went to the other Target and picked up an 80gb Zune and it worked perfectly. Bonus points for the squircle and ability to change the background.

My ipod is a piece of crap too. My laptop died "finally" after Christmas, so I decided to get a desktop. After installing all my stuff on it, and waiting 8 seconds for itunes to download, it wouldn't recognize my ipod, and when it finally did - "This ipod is in recovery mode. Please restore"...about 50 times (after each consecutive restore/reset). THEN, 6 months after thinking "You piece of crap, you can hide a the bottom of the drawer in shame", I plugged it in and it worked. Not as well as last time. Awesome timing tho, my bf just got a FM transmitter for the car, or I would be listening to his stuff all the time...

hi, btw :P
